As a technical support professional, there are many responsibilities you could be accountable for. Some of those appear below. Not all will apply to you; this is a general description of the position:
Offer the technical support in the following areas: design, testing, and implementation (among others).
Ensure the existing systems are running properly.
Work alongside department leaders and peers to support organizational goals, including analyzing business processes and systems.
Deliver support to end user and troubleshoot issues.
Strong communication skills: write standard tools and templates documents, assist in developing end user departmental policies / procedures, and maintain up-to-date technical documentation.
Analyze business requirements and collaborate with other IT team members in the development and delivery of projects within the specifications.
Communicate status of projects to stakeholders and effectively manage escalated issues.
Hands-on knowledge of the following technology skills (some not all. It depends on the hiring organization’s needs): programing languages, database platforms, XML technologies, operating systems, version control platforms, and ERP systems.
